How to Replace the Toshiba Satellite L310 laptop Processor

I just bought myself a Toshiba Satellite L310 laptop which runs on a 2 GHz processor and 2G ram which is far from the specs I planned to buy (3GHz and 4 G ram). I thought of upgrading it by replacing the processor and the memory modules so I started dismantling my laptop. I took some pictures of how I did it so I can somehow share it to those who would want to do the same. I hope this will somehow be helpful to those who would wish to replace the processors of their Toshiba Satellite L310 Laptops.

Things needed are as follows:
1. Laptop to dismantle.
2.Processor replacement (must be compatible with your laptop)
3.Memory modules
4.Screw Drivers
5.Tweezers
6.Plastic (I used Mobile Sim card)
7.Ball pen/ Marker
8.Paper

Here is a 13 minute video from the pictures I have taken during the process...

  2. Hi,
Buy the Dow Corning Silicon Grease and remove the laptop. Grease all the screw areas, clean CPU and heatsink contact until shiny and remove the rubbery thingy from the heatsink and do the same process to it. Then put grease on this part too.
    Then assemble back everything.
